Tally Connection

TallyAI connects to Tally's built-in HTTP server. The connection target is controlled by TALLY_HOST and TALLY_PORT environment variables on the server. Change them in your Vercel dashboard or .env.local.

Default: http://localhost:9000
How to Enable Tally HTTP Server

TallyPrime

  1. Open TallyPrime and load your company
  2. Press F1 → Help → TDL & Add-On
  3. Or go to Configure → Connectivity
  4. Enable Tally.NET Features and set Enable ODBC Server: Yes
  5. Set port to 9000 (default)
  6. Press Ctrl+A to accept

TallyERP 9

  1. Open TallyERP 9 and load your company
  2. Press F12 → Advanced Configuration
  3. Set Enable ODBC Server: Yes
  4. Port: 9000
  5. Press Ctrl+A to accept and restart Tally

Once enabled, TallyAI will automatically detect the connection. The green Tally Live badge in the header confirms live data is active. When Tally is offline, TallyAI falls back to your last imported CSV/XML data.
